TOKYO — Japan can expect to host 43 million to 45 million tourists this year, a rise of at least 17% from 2024, said real estate developer Mori Trust, which sees the trend continuing beyond 2025.
In view of those numbers, Mori Trust will extend investments in existing hotels and start new projects. Last year, the number of visitors to Japan totaled 36,869,900, up 47% from the year before, according to the Japan National Tourism Organization.
