TOKYO — Nissan Motor will launch a new-generation Leaf electric vehicle in the U.S. later this year, the company announced on Tuesday, as part of efforts to fill out its product lineup in one of its most important markets.
Analysts point out that one of the reasons for the Japanese automaker’s decline in sales volume, which led to a significant loss for the fiscal year ending March 2025, was the lack of attractive new car models in North America, which accounted for 39% of total vehicle sales.
