People at the firm told <\/span><i><span>Financial Times <\/span><\/i><span>that executives had discussed a target range of $150-200 billion when it goes public.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Earlier this week, though, the firm\u2019s CEO and co-founder Nik Storonsky told <\/span><i><span>Bloomberg\u2019s <\/span><\/i><span>David Rubenstein that the event won\u2019t take place for another <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/videos\/2026-04-20\/revolut-ceo-storonsky-says-digital-bank-s-ipo-is-two-years-out-mo6sct8s\" target=\"_blank\"><span>\u201ctwo years time.\u201d<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span>A source close to the firm told <\/span><i><span>Decrypt <\/span><\/i><span>no formal valuation target has been made. Revolut declined to comment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Revenues for the global firm <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.revolut.com\/en-US\/news\/revolut_reports_record_profit_of_2_3bn_for_2025_as_revenue_surges_to_6bn\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span>surged to a record $6 billion last year,<\/span><\/a><span> representing a 46% jump year-over-year as it netted pre-tax profits of $2.3 billion, buoyed by its global market expansion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>As it stands, the firm now operates a licensed bank in 30 of its 40 geographies, including its home country, the United Kingdom. In March, it cleared the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.revolut.com\/en-US\/news\/revolut_launches_uk_bank\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span>regulatory hurdles necessary to become a bank<\/span><\/a><span> in the UK, earning approval from the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) amid its $4 billion commitment to invest in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Prior to that, it launched <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.revolut.com\/en-US\/news\/revolut_launches_full_banking_operations_in_mexico_accelerating_global_expansion\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span>full banking operations in Mexico<\/span><\/a><span> and later <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.revolut.com\/en-AT\/news\/revolut_files_u_s_bank_charter_application_names_new_u_s_ceo\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span>applied for a U.S. bank charter,<\/span><\/a><span> with Storonsky calling the U.S. \u201ca key pillar of our global growth strategy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>At this time, though, the firm does not offer any crypto services to its U.S. customers, but users in eligible jurisdictions can make use of its crypto exchange and custody solutions. In February, it was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/359123\/uk-selects-firms-stablecoin-regulatory-sandbox-revolut\" target=\"_blank\"><span>selected as one of four UK firms to participate in an exploratory stablecoin sandbox<\/span><\/a><span> ahead of the nation\u2019s launch of stablecoin regulations later this year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Last year, sources told <\/span><i><span>Decrypt <\/span><\/i><span>that the firm was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/326074\/neobank-revolut-launching-stablecoin\" target=\"_blank\"><span>actively exploring the launch of its own stablecoin product<\/span><\/a><span>.
