It\u2019s up almost 300% in three years. It has been compounding,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis thing has been a monster in financial markets,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h2>Pomp points to no \u201cbig 80% drawdown for Bitcoin<\/h2>\n<p>Pompliano said that the decline in Bitcoin\u2019s volatility has largely gone unnoticed by Bitcoin holders, compared with the attention on the asset\u2019s price drop since the start of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe didn\u2019t get a blowoff top that I think people expected at the end of Q3, or beginning of Q4, but we haven\u2019t seen the big 80% drawdown that people normally expect as well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin is trading at $87,436 at the time of publication, down 7.39% from its price on Jan. 1, <a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/bitcoin\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">according<\/a> to CoinMarketCap.<\/p>\n<figure>    <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin Price\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2025-12\/019b4db4-4b4d-7a97-a175-f7d536da0214.png\" title><figcaption><em>Anthony Pompliano spoke to CNBC on Tuesday.
