{"id":52960,"date":"2025-10-28T09:39:55","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T02:39:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hbbgroup.net\/gate-reinvents-the-exchange-model-from-trading-platform-to-full-web3-operating-system\/"},"modified":"2025-10-28T09:39:55","modified_gmt":"2025-10-28T02:39:55","slug":"gate-reinvents-the-exchange-model-from-trading-platform-to-full-web3-operating-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hbbgroup.net\/vi\/gate-reinvents-the-exchange-model-from-trading-platform-to-full-web3-operating-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Gate Reinvents the Exchange Model: From Trading Platform to \u2018Full Web3 Operating System\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<h4 color=\"#333\">In brief<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Crypto exchange Gate is adopting an \u201cAll in Web3\u201d strategy to position itself as a \u201cfull Web3 operating system,\u201d CEO Dr. Han told Decrypt.<\/li>\n<li>The platform has launched a suite of products designed to form a &#8220;cohesive, secure, and high-performance Web3 stack.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Gate has added a Perp DEX, tokenized stocks, on-chain token launchpad Gate Fun, MPC-based multi-chain wallet &#8220;Gate Vault&#8221; and a new loyalty program, Future Points, as well as Gate Travel, enabling users to spend crypto on travel bookings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Crypto exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gate.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener\">Gate<\/a> is blending the performance of centralized exchanges with &#8220;cutting-edge&#8221; decentralized infrastructure as part of a push to provide a full ecosystem for more than 42 million users worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur shift from a traditional exchange to a full Web3 operating system isn\u2019t just an idea anymore,\u201d the platform\u2019s CEO Dr. Han told <i>Decrypt<\/i>. \u201cIt\u2019s happening right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that the third quarter of 2025 marked a \u201cdefining moment\u201d for Gate. \u201cWe accelerated our \u2018All in Web3\u2019 strategy, our futures and spot businesses both reached record highs, with total users surpassing 42 million and derivatives trading volume surging 98.9% in August alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The crypto platform has unveiled a suite of new products that are designed to form a &#8220;cohesive, secure, and high-performance Web3 stack.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also moving beyond asset trading to address pain points for investors, such as the single point of failure in self-custody. Its MPC-based multi-chain wallet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gate.com\/announcements\/article\/47578\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener\">Gate Vault<\/a> enables users to split private keys into &#8220;shards&#8221; that can be stored in multiple environments\u2014including their device, Gate\u2019s servers, and with third-party providers. Gate adds that safeguards are in place to ensure key shards are retrievable even if its infrastructure is temporarily unavailable.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, a <a href=\"https:\/\/web3.gate.com\/en\/perps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener\">new DEX<\/a> has been built for perpetual futures trading that &#8220;utilizes a high-performance matching engine to support high-concurrency processing and low-latency trading, even during extreme market volatility.&#8221; Gate says this is complemented with deep order books, on-chain transparency through audited smart contracts and multi-chain access.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe official launch of Gate Layer and Gate Perp DEX represents the backbone of our next-generation Web3 infrastructure,\u201d Dr. Han said. \u201cWith Gate Layer processing over 5,700 transactions per second and Perp DEX already surpassing $1 billion in trading volume, we\u2019re setting new standards for speed, transparency, and user experience in on-chain derivatives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The transition to a broader ecosystem is further complemented by the arrival of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gate.com\/announcements\/article\/45926\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener\">xStocks<\/a>\u2014tokenized assets that deliver exposure to the performance of flagship equities including Apple and Tesla, along with S&#038;P 500 futures. As well as providing diversification, Gate says this approach eliminates the rigid business hours seen on Wall Street\u2014with 24\/7 access providing &#8220;continuous trading opportunities&#8221; that meet regulatory standards in applicable jurisdictions.<\/p>\n<p>Gate is also expanding into yield-based financial products. \u201cOur new RWA-backed stablecoin GUSD has already exceeded $230 million in issuance within weeks of launch,\u201d Dr. Han said. \u201cIt bridges traditional finance and blockchain, showing how real-world yield can be transparent, secure, and accessible to all users.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 color=\"#333\">Fun in the sun<\/h2>\n<p>With meme coins surging in popularity over the past year, the platform has launched its own on-chain token launchpad, Gate Fun, to take on the likes of Pump.fun. Gate Fun enables users to launch their own <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/resources\/what-are-meme-coins-and-tokens\" target=\"_blank\">meme coins<\/a> in seconds with &#8220;minimal&#8221; fees, with each token accompanied by a real-time community space and engagement-based rewards\u2014while future plans include decentralized voting.<\/p>\n<p>A new loyalty program called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gate.com\/announcements\/article\/47608\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener\">Future Points<\/a> intends to encourage &#8220;continuous participation and retention by providing tangible value to the most active users,&#8221; according to a Gate spokesperson. This loyalty currency can be offset against trading fees, helping to make high volumes of transactions more cost effective.<\/p>\n<p>The new experience is rounded off by real-world utility, with users now able to use their digital assets to purchase flights, hotels and vacation packages worldwide. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gate.com\/announcements\/article\/46617\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener\">Gate Travel<\/a> will &#8220;move crypto beyond speculation and into mass adoption,&#8221; a spokesperson for the company said.
