It comes at a cost: A very complex technology that\u2019s hard to build and hard to use. Even if we apply AA to create simplified UX, the tech under the hood is still very complex,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2025-10\/019a0551-9228-7380-979a-2264d4d9d85e\" title><figcaption><em>Source: <\/em><a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EliBenSasson\/status\/1980240698398875735\" rel=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EliBenSasson\/status\/1980240698398875735\" target=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EliBenSasson\/status\/1980240698398875735\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EliBenSasson\/status\/1980240698398875735\"><em>Eli Ben-Sasson<\/em><\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bitcoin, the first cryptocurrency, was designed to <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/bitcoin-skepticism-institutional-adoption-will-stay-preston-pysh\">disrupt mainstream financial institutions<\/a> and give financial power back to individuals. <\/p>\n<p>This may be why some crypto community members have been <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/magazine\/is-bitcoin-changing-tradfi-or-other-way-around\/\">apprehensive<\/a> of new blockchains such as Stripe\u2019s new layer-1, Tempo.<\/p>\n<h2>Corporations will back off if user take-up is low<\/h2>\n<p>Ultimately Ben-Sasson said it\u2019s great that corporations want to adopt blockchain technology because it means \u201cblockchains are no longer this scary thing anymore.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In response to an X user&#8217;s question, he also <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EliBenSasson\/status\/1980251282884485201\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">agreed<\/a> that in the short term the chains from large financial giants <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/crypto-adoption-one-cycle-away-5b-users\">could help mainstream adoption<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><template data-ct-widget=\"buzzsprout\" data-buzzsprout-podcast-id=\"2040516\" data-buzzsprout-episode-id=\"17674691\"><\/template><\/p>\n<p>However, he <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EliBenSasson\/status\/1980245204302172634\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">predicts<\/a> that in a few years the blockchains built by these companies will most likely be abandoned when they \u201ccause too big a headache from a technical point of view,\u201d and after users choose to avoid them because they aren\u2019t attractive enough from a \u201cDeFi\/self-custody\/control-my-asset point of view.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote data-ct-non-breakable=\"undefined\"><p>\u201cFast forward a few years: Corporate chains will end up with the complex tech but without the added value for users, which is no central entity to control them. At that point, these chains will lose the focus from corporates.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Community split on future of corporate blockchains\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Meanwhile, an X user under the handle Boluson <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Bdigital17\/status\/1980254440041992394\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">argued<\/a> that most corporations don\u2019t need a blockchain; they are just feeling pressured to adopt the technology over <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/innovation-circle\/10-ways-traditional-companies-can-benefit-from-partnering-with-blockchain-projects\">fears of being left behind<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Related: <\/strong><\/em><a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/how-bitcoin-s-three-pillars-are-about-to-fix-money-starkware-ceo\"><em><strong>How Bitcoin\u2019s three pillars are about to fix money \u2014 StarkWare CEO<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot every project in Crypto needs to have blockchain, now everyone wants to build something around creating a blockchain,\u201d they said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rob Masiello, the CEO of Sova Labs \u2014 a firm focused on building Bitcoin-native infrastructure \u2014  <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/rkmasiello\/status\/1980308940786430317\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> he thinks \u201ccorp chains\u201d will be successful and useful for the companies that own and run them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUsers just won\u2019t have any way to participate in their upside.
