TOKYO — One of Tokyo’s 23 wards on Friday called for a five-year ban against the resale of condominiums to combat the rise of property values from speculative transactions.
Chiyoda Ward sent a formal request to the Real Estate Companies Association of Japan to add a no resale clause to condos sold as part of urban redevelopment projects.
