SEOUL — Major South Korean video game publisher Krafton will acquire all shares of Japanese advertising agency ADK Holdings from a fund affiliated with U.S.-based Bain Capital for 75 billion yen ($518 million), the companies announced Tuesday.
ADK is one of Japan’s largest advertising companies and is involved in the production of popular long-running anime titles like “Doraemon” and “Crayon Shin-chan.” It aims to combine its anime know-how with games.
