TOKYO — Nintendo reported on Friday that its April-June revenue soared 132% from a year before to 572.3 billion yen ($3.8 billion) following the June release of the Switch 2 game console.
Operating profit for the fiscal first quarter increased 4% to 56.9 billion yen. Net profit grew 19% to 96 billion yen, due in part to a gain of 32.3 billion yen from a sale of investment securities, Nintendo said.
