BEIJING — Export prices of U.S.-bound smartphones from China fell 45% on the year for June on a per-unit basis, official data shows, suggesting that Chinese suppliers are willing to weather financial pain from the Trump administration’s tariffs to maintain business.
Prices of video game consoles fell 23%, based on Nikkei’s analysis of comprehensive data released Sunday by China’s General Administration of Customs. Irons and pocket watches declined about 5% each.
