TAIPEI — The top executive of a U.S.-German defense tech company that has partnered with Taiwan said he sees a future in which Taipei’s forces have millions of drones, urging the government to significantly expand domestic orders to help catalyze the industry’s growth.
“Taiwan will need a lot of drones, a lot of deterrents. Our ambition with Taiwan is to operate on a scale of hundreds of thousands to millions,” Auterion CEO Lorenz Meier said in an interview with Nikkei Asia.
