HONG KONG/TOKYO — The Israel-Iran war has unleashed shock waves worldwide, and has raised several pressing questions for China on energy security, its own influence in the Middle East and the new realities of drone warfare.
At a Monday briefing, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun fielded questions on the conflict, saying China was “deeply concerned about Israel’s attacks on Iran” and wants a return “to the right track of resolving issues through dialogue and negotiation.”
