SEOUL — South Korea’s president on Thursday detailed plans for an extra budget that he described as key to the country’s efforts to break out of a prolonged economic slump.
The stimulus is the most significant economic policy measure spearheaded by President Lee Jae Myung since he took office early this month and is in line with his campaign pledges to boost state spending to revive growth and consumption.
