        "rendered": "<div data-gtm-locator=\"articles\" data-v-43e640e6>\n<article id=\"article-214762\" data-v-43e640e6>\n<p itemprop=\"description\" data-v-43e640e6> Trump Media announced that users who earn gems by participating in Trump Media activities will be able to convert them into Cronos. <\/p>\n<div data-v-43e640e6><picture><source media=\"(min-width: 1200px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 992px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 768px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 480px)\" ><img  loading=\"eager\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.cointelegraph.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/format=auto,onerror=redirect,quality=90,width=1434\/https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2025-09\/01992eae-e553-7a00-aaf0-80118ccc1436\" alt=\"Trump Media to let Truth Social users convert \u2018gems\u2019 into CRO tokens\"><\/picture><\/div>\n<div data-v-43e640e6>\n<div data-v-43e640e6>\n<p>Trump Media and Technology Group has updated its Truth Social platform to connect its digital rewards program with cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>The company <a href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/b2icontent.irpass.cc\/2660\/rl157574.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/b2icontent.irpass.cc\/2660\/rl157574.pdf\">announced<\/a> on Tuesday that Truth Social users subscribed to its Patriot Package, a paid version of its Truth+ streaming platform, will gain access to premium features like the \u201cTruth gems,\u201d as part of its upgraded rewards program.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The gems can be earned through activities across Trump Media\u2019s platforms and converted into Cronos (<a href=\"http:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/cronos-cro-price-index\">CRO<\/a>), the native token of Crypto.com, using the exchange\u2019s wallet infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Cointelegraph reached out to Crypto.com for more information, but did not receive a response by publication.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><template data-ct-widget=\"buzzsprout\" data-buzzsprout-podcast-id=\"2274877\" data-buzzsprout-episode-id=\"16531981\"><\/template><\/p>\n<h2>Trump Media takes a different approach to Truth Social rewards<\/h2>\n<p>The move to integrate CRO signals a pivot from the company\u2019s earlier remarks about exploring the launch of its own utility token.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In April, Trump Media <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/trump-media-exploring-crypto-token-digital-wallet\" title=\"null\">said it was exploring the launch<\/a> of a proprietary token and digital wallet to support its Truth+ streaming platform. In an April 29 letter to shareholders, Trump Media CEO Devin Nunes said the company is exploring the introduction of a utility token within a Truth digital wallet.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Nunes said the token can initially be used to pay for subscription costs and be applied to other products within the ecosystem. He added that the token will also be part of a rewards program that Trump Media is exploring across services.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In May, rumors of a Truth Social memecoin launching circulated on social media. However, Truth Social <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/trump-owned-truth-social-denies-launching-emecoin\" title=\"null\">denied that it was planning to launch a memecoin<\/a>. Donald Trump Jr., the US president\u2019s eldest son, said that there was \u201cno truth\u201d to the rumors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Related: <\/strong><\/em><a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/trump-family-wealth-grew-1-3b-abtc-wlfi\" title=\"null\"><em><strong>Trump family&#8217;s wealth grew by $1.3B following ABTC and WLFI debuts: Report<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Trump Media and Crypto.com\u2019s relationship\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>This is not the first time that Trump Media has <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/trump-media-inks-deal-cryptocom-made-in-america-etfs\" title=\"null\">collaborated with Crypto.com.<\/a> Earlier this year, the company partnered with the platform to launch exchange-traded funds (ETFs) tracking digital assets and securities \u201cwith a Made in America focus.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The funds will launch through Truth.Fi and will be available through Crypto.com\u2019s broker-dealer, Foris Capital. The ETFs are expected to go live later in 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Trump Media has also <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/trump-media-company-crypto-com-treasury-deal\" rel target=\"_self\" title=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/trump-media-company-crypto-com-treasury-deal\">entered a major agreement with Crypto.com<\/a> to acquire 684.4 million CRO tokens, worth roughly $105 million, as part of a broader $6.4 billion digital-asset treasury strategy.
