        "rendered": "<div data-gtm-locator=\"articles\" data-v-43e640e6>\n<article id=\"article-214438\" data-v-43e640e6>\n<p itemprop=\"description\" data-v-43e640e6> Strategy\u2019s latest 1,955 Bitcoin acquisition brought its total BTC holdings to 638,460 BTC, purchased at an average price of $73,880 per coin. <\/p>\n<div data-v-43e640e6><picture><source media=\"(min-width: 1200px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 992px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 768px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 480px)\" ><img  loading=\"eager\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.cointelegraph.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/format=auto,onerror=redirect,quality=90,width=1434\/https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2025-07\/01982c3a-a8e7-7023-b7ea-481b2ef529ad\" alt=\"Michael Saylor\u2019s Strategy buys $217M in Bitcoin as price holds strong\"><\/picture><\/div>\n<div data-v-43e640e6>\n<div data-v-43e640e6>\n<p>Michael Saylor\u2019s Strategy, the world\u2019s largest holder of Bitcoin, continued stacking the cryptocurrency as the BTC price edged up slightly last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Strategy acquired 1,955 Bitcoin (<a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/bitcoin-price\" title=\"null\">BTC<\/a>) for $217.4 million between Sept. 2 and 7, <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/ix?doc=\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/0001050446\/000095017025113360\/mstr-20250902.htm\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"null\">according<\/a> to a Tuesday US Securities and Exchange Commission filing.<\/p>\n<p>The purchase was made at an average price of $111,196 per coin as the cryptocurrency briefly surged above $113,000 last Friday before slipping to around $110,000, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/bitcoin\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/bitcoin\">according<\/a> to CoinGecko.<\/p>\n<p>With the new acquisition, Strategy\u2019s total Bitcoin holdings totaled 638,460 BTC as of Sunday, purchased for approximately $47.2 billion and at an average price of $73,880 per BTC.<\/p>\n<p data-ct-non-breakable=\"undefined\">Strategy\u2019s latest Bitcoin purchase follows a series of buys in August, <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/michael-saylor-strategy-buys-4048-btc-bitcoin-holdings-636505\" title=\"null\">totaling approximately 7,714 BTC<\/a> for the month.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s BTC buying last month was significantly smaller than previous purchases, including a <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/strategy-buys-21k-bitcoin-strc-ipo&#038;sa=D&#038;source=editors&#038;ust=1756126375084858&#038;usg=AOvVaw2jeQP1zA5NDL75lp78ZPo3\" title=\"null\">massive 31,466 BTC acquisition<\/a> in July and a 17,075 BTC acquisition in June.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Bitcoin Price, Stocks, MicroStrategy, Michael Saylor, Companies\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2025-09\/01992922-1c1d-73fc-a8a5-763c0bf3450a\" title><figcaption><em>An excerpt from Strategy\u2019s Form 8-K.
