MANILA — The Philippine Supreme Court voted unanimously on Friday to void the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte on a technicality, potentially postponing the political feud between her family and that of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for another year.
The judges declared the articles of impeachment against Duterte unconstitutional on the grounds that “no impeachment proceedings shall be initiated against the same official more than once within the period of one year.”
