TOKYO — The recent hype in the U.S. and China for humanoid robots may be overestating the benefits of the technology in the short term, according to one of Amazon’s lead robotics developers.
The U.S. online retail giant has been testing humanoid robots in its logistics center for over a year, and companies such as Tesla, BYD and Xiaomi are making significant investments in developing humanlike robots.
